What working with us as your AI SEO agency looks like
A procurement manager asks an assistant, “Which industrial packaging suppliers in Europe should I contact?” A marketing director types, “Which agencies help B2B software companies get found?” The answer names a handful of companies and links to a few sources. A company that is not on that short list never enters the comparison.
We call the work of preparing for these answers GEO, short for generative engine optimization. For us, it rests on four pillars: making your site easy for AI systems to read, keeping the facts about your business clear and consistent everywhere, finding the places where your brand deserves to be mentioned, and measurement, which starts on day one and runs every month.
What you receive is concrete and in writing:
- An audit of crawler access and of the first HTML of your key pages
- A consistency sheet that compares your name, description, services and contact details across every channel
- Answer-first content edits and markup for your priority pages
- A list of directories, publications and lists where your brand can earn a place
- A monthly measurement with a fixed question set, and a plain-language report
How AI answers choose their sources
When you ask an assistant a question that needs current information, it searches the web, reads a few of the pages it finds and writes its answer from them. Google’s AI answers in search are built from pages in Google’s index in the same way. For a page to appear in an answer, it has to be found, then read, then trusted.
Some of the signals behind that choice are in your hands, and those are the ones we work on:
- Access: Can the assistant’s search crawler reach your page? If robots.txt or a firewall blocks it, your page does not exist for that assistant.
- Readability: Are the facts in the page’s first HTML? Some crawlers do not run JavaScript, so they miss text that loads later.
- Clarity: Does the page answer the question in its first sentences? Short paragraphs, clear headings and tables make a page easy to quote.
- Consistency: Are your name, description, services and address the same everywhere? Conflicting facts make it harder for an assistant to describe you correctly.
- Trust: Do other sites talk about you? In Ahrefs’ study of 75,000 brands (opens in a new tab), brand mentions across the web correlated with visibility in Google AI Overviews about three times more strongly than backlinks did.
- Search visibility: Most assistants search before they answer. Pages that rank well and crawl cleanly are more likely to be read.
The same question can get a different answer each time, so we never judge from a single screenshot. We ask each question several times and count how many answers mention you.
What we check
Every project starts with the same checklist. We rank each finding by impact and effort, and we do the quickest wins first.
Crawler access, robots.txt and llms.txt
We check whether your robots.txt blocks OAI-SearchBot, the crawler behind ChatGPT search, PerplexityBot or Google’s crawlers. Search crawlers and model-training crawlers such as GPTBot are managed separately; whether to allow training is a content decision we make with you. Your infrastructure can block them too. Since September 2026, Cloudflare (opens in a new tab) blocks training and agent crawlers by default on ad-supported pages of newly added domains while allowing search crawlers, and older accounts may still have an AI bot block switched on. So we also review your CDN and firewall settings, and your server logs if you have them. We add an llms.txt file that summarizes your site and lists your key pages. It costs little, and since its effect is not yet proven, we treat it as housekeeping.
Facts in the first HTML
We read the source of your pages the way a crawler sees them. If your services, scope, contact details and FAQs are missing from the first HTML, crawlers that do not run JavaScript will not see them. When needed, we recommend a fix that suits your platform so the server delivers these facts ready to read, and we implement it with your developers.
Structured data
We mark up your organization, services, products and FAQs with schema. The markup matches the visible text word for word, and we never mark up a rating or review that is not on the page. Schema helps search engines understand your pages correctly, and we set it up as part of a clean foundation.
Answer-first content
We focus each priority page on one question and put the answer in its first two or three sentences. What you do, who it is for, how you work and what to do next go under clear headings, in short paragraphs and, where useful, in tables. Self-contained sentences with sources and figures are easy for readers and assistants alike to quote. Where customers keep asking the same questions, we add a short FAQ to the page and keep its markup in line with the visible text. We aim to answer the question completely, not to repeat keywords.
Brand mentions across the web
An assistant looking for an answer to your customer’s question often reads industry lists, directories, comparison articles and news sites. Our question set shows which sources matter in your industry. We then list the directories, publications and lists where your brand can earn a place, prepare the profile and submission texts, and bring every outgoing message to you for approval. Every listing and article we earn goes into a log with its link, so you can see the work behind the numbers.
Entity consistency
AI systems treat your brand as an entity: its name, what it does, where it is and whom it serves. We compare the description on your site with your Google Business Profile, your LinkedIn page and your directory profiles, and we merge any conflicting facts into one correct version. For companies with several brands, units or countries, this matters even more.
How we measure progress
In AI search, progress is measured in mentions, not rankings. Before any change, we build a fixed set of about 20 questions your customers ask: recommendations, comparisons, definitions and questions about your brand. The wording stays the same month after month, so this month is compared with last month on equal terms.
We ask each question several times every month, because answers vary. For every answer, we record:
- Was your brand mentioned?
- Was your site cited as a source?
- Were the facts about your brand correct?
- Which sites and brands stood out in the answer?
Our own measurement tool asks the full question set every month through Gemini with Google Search grounding, and it records each answer and the sources behind it. In Google Analytics 4, we track visits and key events, such as form submissions, that come from AI assistants.
Your report shows how many answers mentioned you out of how many, how many citations your site earned and how that compares with the month before. Our yardstick is simple: better numbers than the month before. When we fall short, we find out why and update the plan right away.
How this work builds on SEO
This work does not replace SEO; it builds on it. Assistants search before they answer, so a page that is not crawled, loads slowly or ranks poorly has little chance of appearing. Technical health, page speed and content that answers the question completely are the shared foundation of both.
| Aspect | SEO | GEO |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Higher rankings and clicks in search results | Being mentioned with the right facts and cited inside the answer |
| Focus | Technical health, content, links | The same foundation, plus brand mentions, entity consistency and crawler access |
| Measure | Rankings, impressions, clicks, conversions | Mention rate, sources cited, accuracy of facts, visits from assistants |
You will also see this work called AEO (answer engine optimization), AI search optimization or LLM SEO. We run all of it in one plan, with one report. If you have no SEO program yet, we set up both together. Our SEO agency page covers the search side in detail.
Who this is for
This work adds the most value for businesses whose customers research before they buy:
- B2B service and manufacturing companies: To help you reach the shortlist when a buyer asks an assistant for suppliers.
- Software and technology companies: To help comparison and “which tool” answers describe you with the right features.
- Fields where trust decides: Professional services, education and health tourism. We follow the advertising rules of your sector.
- Enterprises: One consistent set of brand facts across several brands, units or countries.
- Businesses selling abroad: We build the question set in your target market’s language and confirm which languages we cover in your quote.
- Companies with an in-house SEO team: We run this work together with your team.
No website yet? Let’s build a strong one first: see how we build and redesign websites or request a quote.
What we need from you to start
Getting started takes little of your time. We ask for four things:
- Read access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4, so we can see how your site is crawled and where visits come from
- Access to your site or its code, or a contact on your development team
- Your brand facts as you want them told: a one-sentence description, your services, the places you serve and your contact details
- One person who can approve changes and outgoing messages
If your site runs behind Cloudflare or another CDN, we also need a look at its bot settings, either directly or through whoever manages them. If any of these tools is not set up yet, we set it up with you in the first weeks.
Your first 90 days
Most projects run like this in the first three months:
- Month one: We agree the question set with you and record the baseline. We audit crawler access, first HTML and markup, and remove critical blockers with your approval. We take stock of your brand facts.
- Month two: We restructure priority pages around answer-first content and merge the facts in your profiles into one correct version.
- Month three: We work on directory, publication and list opportunities, repeat the measurement and plan the next quarter with you.
At the end of each month, you get a plain-language report: what we did, what changed and what comes next. We confirm the term of this work in your quote; SEO has a minimum term of 3 months.
What you can count on from us

Every project comes with the same commitments:
- A target in numbers: In the first month, we turn your goal into a number, and every month we report against it.
- Accounts in your name: Search Console and analytics accounts are opened in your name and stay yours.
- Your approval first: Changes to your site and profiles go live with your approval.
- Methods that last: We never put your site at risk with fake reviews, hidden prompts or paid list placements.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO prepares your site to rank in search results and earn clicks. GEO, or generative engine optimization, prepares your site and brand to be mentioned with the right facts and cited in the answers of AI assistants. Both rest on the same technical and content foundation, so we plan them together.
How soon will AI assistants mention my business?
That depends on your site today, the sources that lead in your industry and your brand's footprint across the web. We fix technical blockers such as crawler access in the first weeks, while brand mentions build over time. In the first month, we record your baseline, give you a realistic timeline and show progress every month with the same questions.
Which assistants do you cover?
We work for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Most of the work is shared: an accessible, clear and consistent site, plus a strong brand footprint, helps with all of them. We track progress every month with the same question set and report your mentions and citations.
Does our current SEO work already cover this?
Partly. Technical health, page speed and strong pages help with both search results and AI answers. What SEO work usually leaves out is crawler access for assistants, consistent brand facts across your profiles, brand mentions beyond links and monthly tracking of mentions in AI answers. We can add these on top of the SEO you already run, with your current team or agency.
Do you use AI to write our content?
We use AI tools where they save time, for example in research and first drafts. Every page is planned around your facts, edited and checked before it reaches you, and it goes live with your approval.
What changes on our website?
Usually robots.txt and platform settings, markup, the first paragraphs of priority pages and the heading structure. We do not need to redesign your site. We show you every change first, and it goes live with your approval.
Do you work with businesses outside Türkiye?
Yes. We have worked with 34 businesses in 15 countries, nine of them in the United States. We build the question set in your market's language and review the directories and sources that matter there. We work remotely, schedule calls around your time zone and confirm which languages we cover in your quote.
How is the fee set?
Your fee depends on the size of your site, the number of markets and languages, and your goal. We confirm it in a written quote that lists what is included. If the scope grows later, we talk to you first.
How do I get started?
Request the free SEO audit in the form below, and you will have an annotated PDF within 3 business days. Prefer to talk first? Send a quote request; neither commits you to anything. Tell us your site address and your goal, and we will show you what working with Adzento as your AI SEO agency looks like.
